What safety equipment do you provide?

A helmet and goggles are included, and your guide gives a safety talk before you start.

Yes. You can add horseback riding for $55 per person or a zip line for $75 per person.

What is your cancellation policy?

Free cancellation more than 48 hours before your tour or transfer. Cancellations between 24 and 48 hours before are charged 30%. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or no-shows, are charged 100%.

Mud, rivers and ocean views on four wheels

Put on a helmet and goggles, start the engine and follow your guide into the back country of Guanacaste. This private ATV tour takes you along dirt roads and forest trails, up into the hills and straight through the rivers.

The river crossings are the part everyone remembers. You drive into the water, the ATV throws up a wall of spray, and you come out the other side wet, muddy and laughing. Between crossings, the trail runs through tropical dry forest and open country, with viewpoints over the Pacific coast.

Routes can include a stop on a quiet beach, where you can ride onto the sand and take photos by the ocean, and a stop at a small waterfall to cool off.

This is also a good way to see wildlife. Monkeys, coatis, iguanas and many birds live along the trails, and your bilingual guide stops when there is something to see.

You ride new-model Honda ATVs, on your own or two people on one machine. Choose the 2.5-hour ride or the longer 4-hour ride. Safety equipment and cold bottled water are included.
