Adventure, culture and hot springs in one day
A full private day of adventure, culture and hot springs at Buena Vista, an adventure park on the slopes of Rincón de la Vieja, where every activity is in one place.
The day includes zip lining, horseback riding, a mountain waterslide, hanging bridges, a cultural and coffee tour, a short hike to a small waterfall, volcanic mud and natural hot springs. We leave at 7:00 AM with your own bilingual naturalist guide and private transport, and we are back at your hotel around 5:00 PM.
The morning starts with the zip line, then the waterslide and the hanging bridges. Your guide times each activity around how busy the park is that day, to keep you away from the large groups.
The cultural tour is a taste of Costa Rican tradition: the local kitchen, small samples of Costa Rican food, a potter shaping clay by hand, and coffee. After it, we sit down to a Costa Rican buffet lunch.
In the afternoon, a horse takes you to the hot springs and the volcanic mud. If you prefer not to ride, you can go by tractor. On the way, you can stop for a short hike to see a small waterfall. It is a hike only; swimming is not allowed there. Then you finish the day relaxing in the mud and the hot springs.
It is one price for the whole day. If someone in your group prefers to skip an activity, they simply skip it.
The park is a transitional gallery forest, and wildlife is part of the day: spider monkeys, howler monkeys, white-faced capuchins, toucans, coatis, some snakes and many birds.
